Share and Prayer Triplets
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has set a goal to revitalize 1000 congregations by the year 2020. In support of this goal, DCC has embarked on a journey of transformation, which will include:
Attempting to discern God’s plan for our congregation,
Which will lead to individual and congregational spiritual renewal, and
Will result in exciting new ministries by our congregation.
We will begin our journey of transformation by meeting together in small groups of 3, which we are calling Share and Prayer Triplets.
Each Triplet group will meet 10 times over a period of 100 days (approximately 3 ½ months), ending in mid-December. Each Triplet will set the time and place for their meeting that will be convenient for their members and each meeting will last just over an hour.
Each time the Triplet gets together, the three people will share information about where they are on their own spiritual journey, what is going on in their lives today, and discuss the ministries at DCC that excite them and sustain them. The Triplet will also pray together; asking God to help them understand His plan for DCC and for each Triplet member.
This time of sharing and prayer will set a firm foundation for the next steps of the transformation process. Everyone in the congregation is invited and encouraged (but not required) to be a part of one of the Share and Prayer Triplets. Material will be provided to guide the Triplets through this process.
