What We Believe
The central focus of our life together is the communion table, where we observe the Lord's Supper every week, believing that Jesus is the host who invites any who will to partake.
We stress ecumenism, meaning we do not consider ourselves to be the only Christians, but work closely with churches of all denominations to spread the love of Christ locally and globally.
Though we generally practice baptism by immersion, we honor all forms of baptism, accepting into membership those baptized by other means.
Most of our teaching and preaching focuses around the Bible. We take the Scriptures seriously, though not always literally, and consider the mind and heart equal partners in faith.
Local churches in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are congregationally governed. They call their own ministers, own their own property, worship as they felt led by God, and support and participate in denominational activities as they see fit.
